While we Mac users have long awaited Microsoft to give us an official Xbox app for MacOS (much like the Windows 10 version), I have been trying to find a way to emulate the Xbox app on Mac, for useful input into in-game text chat in games like Warframe when it can get very tiresome to use the app on a phone. Pair a controller to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac. Press the Xbox button to turn on your controller. If your controller doesn’t connect or work as expected

- Unpair it, then pair it again. If you still can't pair or connect, get help pairing your Bluetooth accessory to your iOS device.
- Make sure that you're not trying to connect too many Bluetooth accessories at once. Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD support up to two of the same kind of controller at once, or one controller with a combination of Bluetooth audio devices. Other controller and audio Bluetooth limits vary by device.
- Check that the firmware on your controller is up to date.
- Some controller functions aren't supported when paired with an Apple device, including the controller's audio jack. Contact Apple Support for more details.
Microsoft today announced that the Apple TV app on Xbox is receiving Dolby Vision support starting this week.
With this update, Xbox One X and Xbox One S users can enjoy Apple Originals shows on the Apple TV app such as Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, For All Mankind, See, and The Mosquito Coast in Dolby Vision. This adjusts the brightness, color, and sharpness of each frame of the video to match the display color volume.
Combined with the immersive audio of Dolby Atmos, users will be able to see and hear what they’ve been missing for a premium experience like no other, according to Microsoft.
Unlock a remarkable entertainment experience with the ultra-vivid picture of Dolby Vision. Feast your eyes on a wider spectrum of colors with highlights that are up to 40 times brighter and blacks that are 10 times darker than a standard picture.

With a compatible TV that supports Dolby Vision, the users must allow this technology in Settings, General, TV & Display options, and Video Modes on the Xbox. The user can confirm if the content is available in Dolby Vision by looking for the Dolby Vision logo at the bottom of the movie/show’s description page in the Apple TV app or during playback by pressing the B button on your controller.
